ATLS® is a two-and-a-half-day, tri-service, continuing education, medical course sponsored by the American College of Surgeons.© ATLS prepares physicians to identify and respond to life-threatening traumatic injuries. We also feature an ATLS-Operational Emphasis course that runs simultaneously with regular ATLS courses. The ATLS-OE course provides students with knowledge of the health care environment under military operations.
The content and skills presented in this course are designed to assist doctors in providing emergency care for the trauma patient. The ATLS course provides the essential information and skills medical professionals can apply to identify and treat life-threatening, or potentially life-threatening, injuries under the extreme pressures associated with caring for patients in a fast-paced environment and the anxiety of the resuscitation room.
If you are an ATLS instructor residing in the Continental United States and interested in teaching in the DMRTI program, please contact us for more information.
*****NO WALK-INS will be allowed into this course*****
The ATLS course offers CMEs for physicians and CEUs for non-physicians. Please contact the course coordinator for further information.
All course dates may be rescheduled if the minimum student quota requirement has not been met. In the rare event of course cancellation or date change, DMRTI will notify all students as soon as changes are confirmed. Confirmed registered students will have priority in the next course.
